Job Description:
Finance Manager
(16-Month Contract)
**Location:** Hayes, Middlesex
**Hours:** Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm per week (occasional travel may be required)
Purpose of the Role:
As Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing end-to-end finance operations, ensuring compliance with SOX controls, company policies, and UK GAAP. You will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, managing the audit process, and leading ad-hoc projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the finance team responsible for AP, AR, and Payroll to ensure effective finance operations.
* Manage both SOX and Statutory Audit processes with internal and external auditors.
* Prepare statutory accounts and monthly accounting entries.
* Produce month-end P&L statements and review results with the Financial Controller and MD.
* Analyse monthly and quarterly financial data and present findings to management.
* Prepare tax analysis for benefits in kind and corporation tax.
* Manage VAT and HMRC reporting.
* Oversee working capital management and produce cash flow forecasts.
* Lead the audit process of current systems and act as the first point of contact for external auditors.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, capable of creating statutory accounts.
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
* Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large volumes of data.
* Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamic 365, OneStream, Power BI, Basware, or similar.
* Experience in AP and AR.
* Experience running annual audits.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and manage the work of others.
* Self-motivated with a commitment to continual improvement.
**Reporting Structure:**
This role will report to the Financial Controller and will be supported by a management accountant.
