Job Title: Estimator - Civil Engineering and Groundworks Projects
Location: Pontyclun, Wales

Position Overview: They are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing the costs associated with civil engineering and groundworks projects, ensuring our company remains competitive and profitable. Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates.
* Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
* Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project and incorporate them into cost estimates.
* Prepare and present comprehensive estimates to senior management and clients, explaining the rationale behind the provided figures.
* Review and analyze historical data to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
* Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in bid meetings as required.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
* Proven experience as an Estimator in the civil engineering or groundworks sector.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
* Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar).
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position ranges from £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a negotiable package.
