About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at our clients Magor location. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to support our high-speed packaging line, production, and utilities areas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the efficiency, quality, and safety of the plant operations.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Recognised apprenticeship, NVQ3, or equivalent mechanical/industrial qualification
* ONC or equivalent
* Experience in a multi-disciplined industrial engineering function
Desirable:
* Experience working within an FMCG environment
* HNC or equivalent
Main Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance activities
* Identifying continuous improvement opportunities
* Developing safety and maintenance procedures
* Liaising with suppliers for spare parts/services
* Supporting the development of a high-performance culture
* Recording maintenance activities in the management system
* Analysing machines to improve performance
* Carrying out quality inspections
* Controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
* Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs
* Writing, reviewing, and updating maintenance SOPs
