Payroll Coordinator Opportunity in Beaconsfield, Bucks

The Role:

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Coordinator:
Payroll Duties:
* Processing, ownership, and completion of regular client payrolls (whether weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, or monthly).
* Managing the process from receipt of data to the printing and dispatch of reports (email/post or both).
* Ensuring the payroll is reviewed by a supervisor/manager where applicable.
* Production and dispatch of payslips and P45’s, etc.
* Seeking guidance from semi-seniors/seniors as required.
Auto-Enrolment:
Full Auto-Enrolment tasks for clients, including:
* Reviewing staging dates and informing clients.
* Handling letters and communications.
* Inputting and reporting to/from the payroll system (mainly KeyPay).
* Producing files for upload to the relevant pension provider/middleware portal.
* Consulting and reconciling payments with clients.
* Auto Enrolment set-up, including the use of The Pensions Regulator website.
General Admin and Filing:
These tasks are completed on an ’as and when’ basis for each payroll and include:
* Keeping both the Client Data Sheet and the Excel database of clients up-to-date.
* Scanning and filing documentation relating to payroll, Auto-Enrolment, or individuals.
* Regular and accurate completion and submission of timesheets within set deadlines.
* Updating payroll procedures relating to specific tasks/new processes.
* Supporting the practice’s payroll team.
* Liaising with clients to clarify facts/information.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will be well-organised and able to work to agreed timescales, while actively engaging with clients. You will possess the following skills and experience:
* Effective communication at all levels with colleagues and clients.
* Technically up-to-date knowledge.
* Ability to apply technical knowledge to make judgments.
* Use of judgment to suggest alternatives and improvements in processes and procedures.
* Efficient and effective time management skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
* Initiative in problem-solving.
* Keeping line manager informed of progress and potential problems, including actual vs. budget.
* Highlighting potential business opportunities to the line manager.
* Understanding client requirements.
* Confidence in speaking and working with clients.
* Awareness of cost implications of actions.
* Computer literacy.
* Experience working on a multi-site/portfolio of payrolls basis.
* Previous payroll bureau experience is essential.
