Project Engineer
Trowbridge, Wiltshire, UK

If you are an experienced project engineer or project manager with a strong background in manufacturing, then this could be the ideal new opportunity for you.
As a Project Engineer you will be a key member of the project engineering team, delivering significant improvements to equipment and operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of value-adding projects, from Capital Expenditure projects to sustainability initiatives, with excellent potential for personal development and career growth.
Day to Day of the role:
* Lead and manage Capital Expenditure projects, including equipment introduction or upgrades, building alterations, and M&E projects.
* Engage in energy saving and sustainability projects.
* Balance factory floor evaluations with office-based project development, including cross-departmental discussions, project specifications, and business case development.
* Lead manufacturing equipment projects from conception to completion, encompassing data analysis, project and financial management, equipment specification, installation, and commissioning.
* Collaborate with Health & Safety, Manufacturing, Distribution, and technical teams.
* Manage day-to-day supplier interactions and procurement activities.
* Engage with business stakeholders to ensure quality input and readiness for change.
* Oversee project governance, risk management, and change control processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, delivering complex capital projects on time and within budget.
* Strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Commitment to continuous improvement, lean processes, and excellence in delivery.
* Good financial acumen with experience managing capital project budgets.
* Desirable qualifications include a degree in an engineering discipline, experience in fast paced manufacturing, factory build experience.
* A Project Management Qualification is advantageous.
