Job Description:
We are seeking two HR Officer with a focus on employee relations to join the HR & Training team at Greater London Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a range of ER cases, including probation, disciplinary, capability, resolution, and sickness absence, and will support line managers in line with relevant ER policies.
* Job Type: Contract (12 months with possibility of further extensions)
* Location: walking distance from London Bridge/Southwark Station - hybrid work 2-3 days’ work from home
* Pay rate - £21.63 - £23.87 per hour PAYE or £27.48 - £30.43 per hour Umbrella (salary equivalent range £41k - £46k per annum)
Day to day of the role:
* Provide advice on the application of HR Policy, including disciplinary, resolution, sickness absence, and other employment issues.
* Attend meetings, take minutes, and maintain records as required.
* Manage the ER casework inbox, responding to queries and work alongside the ER Casework Advisor.
* Support managers with Occupational Health referrals and review sickness absence data.
* Monitor the end of fixed-term contract processes and workplace adjustment activity.
* Maintain trackers for ER casework and workplace adjustments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in ER casework, ideally within a similar role.
* Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures related to ER.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Proficient in using HR systems and maintaining accurate records.
