What you will do:
An apprenticeship with us will see you building new skills, while applying your knowledge to real-world live projects. There will be plenty of opportunities to explore your potential and you’ll enjoy full support from the marine team.
* The 3 year apprenticeship would offer the opportunity to join the Production Systems team based in Aberdeen, working alongside technicians and engineers who are leaders in their field.
* You will be assisting in the manufacture & maintenance of bespoke equipment for our clients. We deal with global clients in a variety of fields, such as oil and gas and wind farms.
* This role will see you gain skills in Mechanical engineering as well as Electrical exposure. Our production facility manufactures individual products for each client so no two days are the same.
* You will be trained to build & repair products from a specific set of instructions and carry out testing while being supported by our engineers.
* The manufacturing & maintenance facility will provide you with the opportunity to be mentored by a talented group of technical engineers who are proud to manufacture high quality bespoke equipment that is used across the globe.
* You will learn about bespoke hydraulic power generation and control safety systems, chemical injection/ dosing systems and fire suppression systems.
How you will do it:
* On-the-Job Work Experience: You’ll spend significant time putting into practice skills learned at college, giving you the opportunity to learn by doing as you progress through your apprenticeship.
* Collaboration with Qualified Engineers: Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll work closely with qualified Johnson Controls Engineers and Technicians who will serve as mentors, guiding you in developing your skills. This collaborative environment ensures that you receive the support and guidance needed to succeed in your role.
* Opportunities for Growth: Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and apply the skills and knowledge gained in college in a real workplace setting. This experiential learning approach ensures that you develop both technical competencies and practical skills essential for success.
Qualifications:
* You will be enrolled on an engineering Modern Apprenticeships at SCQF Level 6. Delivered by our training partners NESCOL.
Requirements for the role:
* National 5’s English
* National 5’s in Math’s

* Within 48 hours of the assessment centre, candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can begin the apprenticeship in August 2024.
