Day to day of the role: * Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and practical lessons.
* Maintain and organise laboratory equipment and resources.
* Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the science labs.
* Assist teaching staff with demonstrations and support students during practical sessions.
* Manage the stock control of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
* Carry out routine equipment checks and arrange for repairs as necessary.
* Support the science department with administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * A strong understanding of science and laboratory safety protocols.
* Experience working as a Science Technician or in a similar laboratory-based role.
* Good organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in handling scientific equipment and preparing materials for experiments.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
