Job Description:
Facilities Assistant
Taskmaster are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant for our well established client based within the area of Waterbeach, Cambridge.
Previous Experience from a maintenance background would be desirable but not essential as all training will be provided to the successful applicant. Each applicant will be assessed on an individual basis. The Facilities Assistant position is a manual one, maintaining the appearance and condition of the client’s working facilities. Working across the site; inside and out, the successful applicant will work as part of a small team, essential to the effective day to day cleanliness, safety and maintenance of client buildings and facilities.
Duties for the Facilities Assistant position will include:
* Maintaining the cleanliness of all building fascia’s at all times
* The occasional use of plant, machinery, handheld and power tools - full training will be provided to the successful applicant
* Ensuring the roads located within the site are well maintained and keep clear of all debris.
* Providing traffic control assistance in emergency situations, ensuring roads are kept clear for potential oncoming emergency response vehicles and assist in directing the traffic where applicable.
* Support team members to safely move furniture, equipment and stock if and when required, understanding and Providing assistance with the moving of, equipment, materials and stock as required adhering to all manual handing and safety regulations.
* Basic maintenance/housekeeping tasks whilst carrying out and completing minor repairs as requested and required.
Successful Candidates for the Facilities Assistant position must:
* Have a hard working and ’can-do’ attitude and strive to complete each job to a high standard.
* Be a committed and motivated individual with a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well both in a team and individually
* Have the ability to follow and adhere to instructions and relevant safety policies and procedures.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Experience of maintaining levels of service and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Have some level of experience in mechanical or building construction works or repairs and the ability to learn in a fast paced role.
* At all times, present a professional image to our internal and external customers.
Facilities Assistant working shifts: Monday- Friday - 07:00 - 16:00 each day
