Job Opportunity: Test Technician
Location: Near Langley Mill, Shipley, Heano, Loscoe, Ilkeston
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £29,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility will be pressure testing transformers, specifically handling high voltage tests ranging from 11,000 volts to 33,000 volts. The role requires meticulous documentation and the application of various testing strategies tailored to transformers with different windings. Additionally, the position may involve occasional special tests as needed. This is a progressive role with opportunities for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct high voltage pressure testing of transformers.
Accurately complete all test documentation.
Adapt testing strategies to suit transformers with varying windings.
Perform occasional special tests as required.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in electrical testing.
High attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation.
Strong safety awareness.
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Local candidates preferred, but visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
