Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a CNC Machinist (Turner) to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Ayrshire area.
Hours:
* Dayshift: Monday – Thursday 6am – 2.30pm, Friday 6am – 1.30pm
* Backshift: Monday – Wednesday 2.30pm – 1am, Thursday 2.30pm – 12am (midnight)
Hourly Rate: £18p/hour
Overtime: Monday – Saturday 1.5x, Sunday 2x, Shift Allowance 30% on backshift
Daily Duties –
* Set up, operate, and programme CNC Machine to the required standard adhering to engineering drawings and specifications
* Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines to ensure equipment is fit for purpose
* Report all non-conforming material/product to the Supervisor and record work activity on job cards and production reports
* Carry out the inspection on the manufactured component before releasing
* Ensure processes are carried out in accordance with company procedures and correctly booking on/off jobs
Candidate Requirements –
* Time-served or relevant engineering qualifications
* Basic programming on machine e.g. Fanuc/Mazak
* Previous experience within a machine shop environment
