Job Description:
Role: New Product Development Assistant
Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
Salary: £24,000-£27,000
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a New Product Development Assistant to join our client’s successful team in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
About our client:
Our client is Europe’s leading protein shake manufacturer, mixing and blending services, designed to suit the needs of all their clients.
About the role:
This is very hands on role in which you will collaborate with the New Product Development Manager to formulate & create new products that align with company goals & customer preferences. You will write up findings using MS Word & Excel. In addition, you will assist with all day to day admin tasks including accounting support & assisting directors.
Responsibilities:
* Quality Control: Conduct sensory evaluations by tasting all fresh ingredients upon arrival to maintain quality standards and Production’s finished products.
* Ingredient Management: Assist in sourcing ingredient samples, and keeping track of ingredient stock levels
* Production Support: When needed, working closely with the production team to ensure smooth production processes, including coordinating ingredients and packaging as needed
* Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the account managers to create customer product specifications and address customer inquiries about packaging requirements.
* Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks for packaging, overruns, and ingredients to maintain accurate inventory levels
* Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of customer labels and packaging specifications.

* Proactive, can do attitude
* Able to work in a lively environment with frequent distractions
* Minimum GCSE level 3 in Maths
* Intermediate excel skills
* Ability to work as part of a small team & be able to use own initiative
* Due to the location of the company you must be able to drive & have access to your own vehicle
