Business Intelligence Analyst required for a financial company that provides loans and cash flow solutions to a wide range of industries based in Chessington. Primarily working from home the ideal candidate will have experience in SQL and Python, with additional experience in Laravel being highly desirable. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases, reporting infrastructure and the
tech aspects of operational systems, ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and efficient.
Business Intelligence Analyst Position Overview * Understand the operations well enough to manage, integrate and optimize databases to ensure performance, reliability, and security
* Write accurate, efficient, and flexible code (with scaling the business front of mind) using
Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features
* Assist in the automation of the repeated operational functions as part of a continuous
improvement culture within the business;
* Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software development and
database administration.
* Provide technical guidance and support to team members, liaising with, and assisting in ad hoc queries for, various departments as required;
* Manage the relationships with, and accurate and compliant reporting to, 3rd parties,
including Credit Reference Agencies;
* Participate in code reviews with subcontractors, offering constructive feedback and
suggestions for improvement.
Business Intelligence Analyst Position Requirements * Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
* Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
* Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in database administration.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience building reliable and accurate reports, while
* Optimizing and maintaining relational databases (e.g., MySQL on MariaDB).
* Solid understanding of Python and its frameworks (primarily numpy and pandas libraries).
* Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like
JSON would be beneficial.
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
