US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
The Senior System Administrator for US BICES is a strong, self-motivated, solution-oriented individual who will be joining an experienced team to support the integration and sustainment of new technologies. We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic IT administrator to join us in delivering high quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Provide subject matter expertise in the administration and configuration of critical intelligence collaboration servers and applications
* Manage, patch, and secure Windows operating systems and applications to include GXP Xplorer, Unified Video, and Chat services
* Provide recommendations on application improvements and configurations.
* Remediate incidents,
* Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
* Download, stage and deploy systems-related security policies and updates to maintain information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.).
* Participate in special projects as assigned
* May be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
* Effectively communicate with team to turn over outstanding user and application status or issues for continued support of users located globally
* Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment and applications with an emphasis in the following areas:
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8
* Logging Technologies (syslog-ng/Splunk)
* Apache configuration and STIG
* Unified Video and GoogleEarth configuration
Required Qualifications:
* A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in building, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 servers
* A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Red Hat servers and applications
* Active Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI
* Must be IAT level II compliant with DoD 8570.1 (Example: Security+)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or equivalent training
• Red Hat certifications or equivalent training
• A demonstrated working knowledge of databases concepts
• A demonstrated working knowledge of scripting concepts
• Administration of web services and intelligence applications tools

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $110,055. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
