Job Description:
Commercial Finance / Junior Management Accountant / Flexible Hours
My Client is a fast paced group of around 10 small to medium sized companies privately owned, and their main industry is Travel & lesiure.
They’re based in Central London and have an opening for a talented numbers person, who can slowly start from the end tasks and work through to the directors level of statistics and management accounting, forecasts and modelling.
You need to have a hunger for numbers, be very interested in business and commercial discussions and negotiaions and be an almost wingperson to decision makers who are fast, this part needs to be ready again. They are very fast, they communicate quick, and are reactive rather than pro-active.
Being reactive in real time, means that you need to be on your toes and keep up with them. It needs to be said again, they are business people, decision makers, fast and thorough.
From cash booked to credit cards, to reconciliations to microscopic and forensic analysis and modelling you will be asked to produce these types of reports and data/information.
In other words, you will be asked questions and it is your role to get the answers without making mistakes.
You really need to be an Excel Whiz, fast on that software and know how to maximise it in order to get the reports into visuals for the leadership.
You will learn a lot from commercial people, you will need to keep up, this will not suit you if you are looking to pass time.
Please think carefully if this role works for you, no point sending your CV if it won’t impress the client. If you don’t have the relevant experience, you need to send a cover letter to say why they should even consider reading your CV.
They are flexible with days and hours, but it will be 100% office based as all systems are not available for remote.
Let’s keep it blunt, as that’s how they culturally are and will only suit candidates who appreciate direct communication.
