Lecturer in Applied Mycology
School of Water, Energy and Environment
Location: Cranfield, Bedfordshire
Salary: £ 48,039- £57,797
Are you a mycologist working in one of the core expansion areas listed below? Are you motivated to play your part in achieving a Net Zero future? Do you have blue-sky ideas you want to develop? Are you ambitious for achievement and looking to drive further success and impact to promote applied mycology?
The applied mycology expansion areas available to apply for are:
- mycomaterials
- fungal-based bioenergy
- sustainable manufacturing
- indoor environment and green construction
- environmental mycoremediation
About You
Talented researchers and academics, who are enthusiastic about research in any of the above-mentioned specialist areas, have a PhD relevant to one of these areas, want to make a difference with your industry partners, and are keen to be part of a dynamic and professional team, are invited to apply.
You will be able to demonstrate a promising track-record of achievements, including generating income, appropriate to your research area and career stage including significant publications (as main author) in the leading international peer-reviewed journals of your respective field. You will be expected to develop and build long term relationships with industry, science programmes and professional bodies.
To be successful in this role you will be comfortable with change, willing to work flexibly, and open to new ways of doing things. Importantly, you will be able to collaborate with and influence people and build relationships quickly, and you will be eager to play a full role in the fast-moving and exciting MCAM project.
