If you are an experienced engineer with a strong background in the manufacturing sector, then this could be the ideal new role for you.
The company are a leading FMCG manufacturer and are seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee Site Services Maintenance within the Engineering Team.
This is a days-based position and will focus on the site services and facilities areas of the manufacturing site so experience in this area would be ideal although transferable skills from production maintenance would also be ideal.
This is an electrical biased role so qualifications in this area would be required along with experience of electrical repair and maintenance
The lead engineer role report to the group engineering manager and will be a senior role who can stand in and take some team responsibility on occasion.

Day-to-day of the role:
* Full responsibility to the Group Engineering Manager and deputising for the Engineering Team Leader or Group Engineering Manager in their absence.
* Maintain operation of site services and facilities, including HV/LV electrical infrastructure, gas generation, compressed air, effluent/wastewater systems, water storage and distribution systems, buildings, CCTV, fire alarm, and gas detection systems.
* Ensure adequate contractual cover is in place for all systems and facilities, supported by the purchasing department.
* Identify, collate, and coordinate actions and repairs linked to buildings and fabric condition.
* Work with contractors/service providers and personnel to ensure company policy is adhered to.
* Keep product and material losses to a minimum by ensuring equipment is well-maintained.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in manufacturing site services, facilities and associated equipment
* Strong engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
* City & Guilds 236 parts 1, 2 & 3.
* Up to date with the Latest Electrical Regulations (18th Edition).
* Excellent leadership skills with a flexible approach to work.
* Ability to achieve positive results through team working.
