Job Description:
My clients a global freight forwarder, seeking an experienced Export road freight clerk to join their busy team in Manchester on a 8 month contact.
Duties would include:
* Handling road freight export operations
* Manifest daily export trailers
* Sending pre-advice
* Monitoring shipments start-finish
* Chasing and processing POD’s
* Transport planning for same day collections
* Liaising with hauliers to provided quotations for special collections/ deliveries
* Updating customers
* Invoicing
* General admin/ data entry
Skills required:
* Experience handling road freight exports
* Knowledge of European groupage
* Ability to work well under pressure
* PC literate
* Good customer service skills
Working hours:
* Monday - Friday 0900am - 1730pm
