Job Description:
iMultiply is working in partnership with a national accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an Assistant Manager or Manager for its Business Advisory Services team
The Company
The Firm has a global portfolio of SME and large corporate clients working across seven key sectors: energy, tech, food & drink, construction & property, public sector, industrial and business services, and also has extensive experience of working with family businesses and individuals across specialist tax, financial planning and wealth management.
The Role
The Business Advisory team work with SME and owner-managed businesses throughout Scotland, across various sectors such as Construction, Healthcare, Hospitality, Hotels, Manufacturing, Agriculture and Professional Services, amongst others. The Business Advisory team are more often than not the focal point for our clients, where client relationships are formed and the team are expected to be the main point of contact for the client.
Purpose of the role/key responsibilities:
*The ability to communicate positively and form strong, professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority

*Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
Key Responsibilities:
*Client Relationship Manager for a portfolio of clients;
*Providing practical, commercial advice to clients on a range of areas including accounting, taxation, digital accounting solutions and general business advice;
*Management responsibilities in the operations of the department and the flow of production within the department, including assisting in the efficiency of processes;
*Business Development responsibilities to help grow client base;
*Staff management, training and development.
Staff Management
*Direct responsibility for the staff involved in the production process
*Handling recruitment of new staff to the department, including:
*Assessing requirements for new staff;
*Interviewing and assessing candidates; and
*Overseeing the induction of newly appointed staff to ensure they understand the culture, processes and procedures of the firm.
*Overseeing staff development within the department, including;
*Conducting performance appraisals and regular 1-2-1’s;
*Ensuring staff receive sufficient on the job training;
*Organising formal training where appropriate in conjunction with the HR department;
*Overseeing professional studies for trainee staff.
Financial Management
*Overall responsibility for financial management in relation to Business Advisory, including working with and monitoring managers to
*Ensuring that the department is achieving budget and internal KPIs
*Driving efficient performance
*Monitoring WIP
*Ensuring fees are raised in a timely manner
Person Requirements
*5+ years of experience / qualified ACCA or ICAS, or qualified by experience
