Job Description:
Group Sales Director: Darwen: Salary circa basic of £130k+ OTE’s of an additional (up to) 50% of the annual salary.
Axon Moore have partnered with one of East Lancashire’s most innovative and successful manufacturing organisations in the search for an experienced Group Sales Director to join an extremely successful and profitable company.
This role will be to play a key member of the board with responsibility for the development and delivery of the overall sales strategy for the group; leading and driving all sales functions including Business to Business (B2B), Business to Consumer (B2C), International Sales & OEM, to ensure the organisation meets its strategic objectives and growth plans.
***This role will have 6 direct reports***
More about the role:-
* Take full responsibility for the customer and the customer interface with the company Group brands, channels, and service offering.
* Develop and implement the company’s sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth.
* Ensure the sales strategy is fully aligned with the corporate strategy, is measurable and regularly monitored.
* Ensure full visibility of the sales strategy and its performance across the leadership team and other functions of the company to ensure they are aligned to support the sales strategy, including oversight of the marketing activity.
* Accurately forecast future sales and create sales plans.
* Create, set, monitor and be accountable for budgets and performance targets, ensuring managers align and set objectives that deliver against the strategic plan.
* Analyse pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales teams providing key business insights, working in conjunction with Marketing & eCommerce.
* Responsible for maintaining margin and managing cost.
* Lead by example; empower, inspire, support, and develop your managers and teams in delivering excellent customer services, value for money and embracing diversity.
* Ensure all team members deliver excellent customer service to trade and individual consumers.
* Seek out and form working relationships with major customers as well as effectively managing and growing existing accounts.
* Construct formal commercial agreements with customers, understanding the margin impact of over riders and rebate/discount agreements.
* Monitor sales progress, exposure, and customer experience, producing and delivering regular reports for the Board.
* Provide the Board with regular market commentary, highlighting any emerging risks or opportunities relating to sales activity.
This role would suit someone from a retail/fmcg background or having transferrable skills in any Sales Director capacity.
We are looking for a highly experienced sales professional with proven experience in either manufacturing or FMGC, additional transferrable skills may be considered. This role will require you to lead, develop and coach a sales team highly motivated by results so you must be a GREAT communicator that leads by example.
The package on offer:-
* Role- Permanent
* Salary circa £130k plus OTE’s of up to 50% of the base annual salary (this can be negotiable for the perfect candidate)
* Working Hours- 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (office based initially, however hybrid working may be an option in the future)
* Car allowance

* Death in service 2x annual salary
* Holidays up to 25 days plus Bank Holidays
