Group Finance Manager | £60,000 - £70,000 | Preston | Rapidly Growing SME via M&A | Succession Planning to FC | Technical Role in a Fast Paced Environment
Axon Moore has partnered with an exciting SME in Preston as they look to hire an ambitious Group Finance Manager into their team.
About the business:
* Highly profitable services business
* Rapidly growing – tripled in size over the past couple of years
* Have a pipeline of further M&A activity for the remainder of 2024 and the beginning of 2025
* Quickly becoming a market leader in their field
About the opportunity:
* No.2 to a talented finance leader – a client of ours who has a strong track record of developing and mentoring talent
* Succession planning to see this candidate progress internally in the business
* Dynamic and agile working environment
* Excellent working culture – 2nd to none in the area for having a high performing environment but with an excellent social culture
About the role:
* This is a technical role for an ambitious candidate with post-qualification experience in industry – preferably within a fast-paced business that has experienced a lot of change previously
* You’ll oversee statutory accounts, group consolidation work, tax, divisional management accounts, ad-hoc technical projects and support the FD with a range of projects. This is not an exhaustive list but the start of an expanding role
* The role will gradually grow in size and responsibility and will broaden out into MI, commercial and other areas within the business
Ideal candidate profile:
* ACA or ACCA qualified with strong industry experience or a technical industry CIMA who has trained in a technical capacity in a corporate setting
* Evidence of being a leader and able to manage people and influence stakeholders
* Evidence of thriving in a high-change environment
* Proactive thinker and problem solver – somebody who is always in the pursuit of continuous improvement
