Job Description:
Six Degrees is a leading secure, integrated cloud services provider, where everyone is welcome. We believe success lies in harnessing a truly diverse and inclusive culture.
Our business protects UK organisations with the goal of enabling them to operate effectively and securely in the cloud, by giving them secure platforms to innovate and grow. We support our customers on their digital transformation journey regardless of their maturity. Our vision is to be the UK’s number one provider of secure, integrated cloud services to the small to mid-size market.
The Cyber Security Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in Six Degrees by leading the way in the company’s strategic and market-leading value proposition. This position is responsible for driving Cyber Security sales revenues through both existing clients and new prospects.
Working closely with prospects, customers, and various internal teams, including account managers, technical architects, product managers and the engineering teams, this is a key aspect of the role. Experience in selling complex cloud solutions is essential, with knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Portfolio + Security being an added advantag.
The Cyber Security Sales Specialist must ensure that the Account Managers is kept informed of opportunity progression and provide a seamless sales experience to clients building relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and managing client engagement for generated leads are also key responsibilities.
The primary goal is to enhance client interaction and deliver innovative solutions that position Six Degrees as the preferred technology partner. The ideal candidate will be able to develop new initiatives and strategies to drive sales growth effectively.
Strong communication skills, a passion for Cloud Managed Services and the ability to prioritize work to achieve outcomes aligned with business objectives are essential for success in this role.
To excel in this position, it is imperative to possess extensive expertise in selling intricate cloud solutions and possess industry experience to identify recurring client challenges and pain points across various sectors. This will enable you to consistently enhance 6DG’s solutioning and go-to-market messaging in collaboration with the Cyber Security Management Team.
Six Degrees is not interested in paying lip-service to diversity and inclusion, just observing our statutory duties. We work to continually re-affirm our commitment to cultivating a workplace and society that embraces and vigorously defends equity, diversity and inclusion. This includes all aspects of recruitment and employment - our recruitment and selection processes are open and fair, and we will always consider any reasonable adjustments or flexible working requirements. We are also an active member of the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) who support us on this journey.
Our recruitment process:
We don’t like to have lengthy recruitment processes here at Six Degrees as it’s more important for us that you have the opportunity to meet with people you’ll work alongside. We will review all of our applications in detail and our Talent Acquisition team will arrange a telephone or video call if your background and experiences fits for what we’re looking. All being well, you will be invited to attend a behavioural interview with your line manager and members of the team to talk through your fit for the role in detail and explain more about Six Degrees. Some of our positions are so important to the business that we’ll invite you back for a second and final interview, where you’ll be asked to complete a role-specific activity. After your final stage in the assessment process, we will confirm the outcome and hopefully welcome you to the Six Degrees family! Apply today at 6dg.co.uk
Six Degrees has been honoured as an ENEI Silver TIDE Winner. We take pride in fostering and sustaining an inclusive culture, which is essential for our entire business.
At Six Degrees we’ve created a female-led networking program that enables women within our organisation to interact and exchange ideas, share their experiences, and utilise one-to-one support. We have some fantastic benefits on offer, with everyone being given Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, a matched pension scheme and 25 days holiday and as a happy birthday from Six Degrees, all employees get a day off for their Birthday.
