Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper | Maternity Contract (6-9 months) | Shrewsbury | £30-£35,000 DOE + Retention Bonus

Seymour John are thrilled to be hired on an exclusive basis to secure an Accounts Manager to cover a maternity contract for a reputable business who are based in beautiful offices in a rural location.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a capable accounts person who can confidently cover the following tasks:
* Creating and managing the sales invoicing process
* Reconcile incoming payments
* Managing aged debtors process
* Supervise purchase ledger process
* Authorise and process weekly payment run
* Process and reconcile credit card statements
* Basic bookkeeping tasks using Xero
* Supervise payroll administration to be processed externally
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* General accounts / office admin
Personal Profile
Our client is looking for a capable pair of hands to manage the finance function during a period of maternity leave. You will have robust accounts / bookkeeping experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for an assertive candidate who can confidently manage the day-to-day accounts tasks for the SME business who have grown considerably in recent years. Ideally you will have prior knowledge of Xero and an intermediate understanding of excel - lookups / SUMIFs.
Hours / Bonus
9.00am-5.30pm - office based (one hour for lunch within beautiful setting for walks over lunchtime
Dog friendly office
Bonus to be paid upon completion of contract
