Job Description:
Halcyon Health and Social Care (Cambridgeshire) are working with a client in the healthcare sector who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader for their care home. If you have a passion for providing exceptional care and possess strong leadership skills, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
* Supervise Staff: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care workers to ensure high-quality care and support services.
* Coordinate Care: Develop and oversee personalised care plans, ensuring they are followed and regularly updated.
* Administer Medication: Oversee the administration and recording of prescribed medications.
* Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents.
* Support Residents: Work alongside care assistants to support residents with their daily needs, promoting independence and activity.
* Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between family members, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
* Service Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to continually develop and enhance care services.
* Foster Positive Environment: Maintain a fun, inclusive, and professional atmosphere at all times.
Qualifications:
* Education: GCSEs or equivalent. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. NVQ Level 3 or higher preferred.
* Clearance: Enhanced DBS.
* Driving License: Full UK Driving License.
Experience:
* Previous Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a support worker role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader position.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership and team management abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Attitude: Empathetic and compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
