Maintenance Manager

If you are an experienced maintenance manager looking to a new role then this could be ideal for you. The site is an innovative and hi-tech facility which provides technology to improve the sustainability and recycling of different materials.
You will ideally have experience in the management of plant maintenance and maintenance teams, within a process or manufacturing plant environment.
A proven maintenance background is required with an emphasis on mechanical expertise, contractor management and a good awareness of health, safety and environmental systems.
This role is pivotal in developing a high-performing team, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and company standards, and driving improvements in plant availability and performance. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the engineering maintenance strategy and will work closely with various functions to promote teamwork and best practices.

Day to Day of the role:
* Lead and manage the maintenance team to deliver operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, quality, and environmental standards.
* Implement maintenance best practices to improve plant availability and performance, including cost reductions.
* Develop and maintain the engineering maintenance strategy.
* Implement and oversee maintenance procedures, initiatives, and controls.
* Coordinate with different functions to ensure consistency and eliminate losses from poor practices or communication.
* Manage annual maintenance budgets and maintenance reporting systems.
* Stay updated with new maintenance technologies and processes, applying them where appropriate.
* Support the development and training of engineering staff to enhance maintenance practices.
* Define and implement KPIs to monitor the performance of maintenance activities and resources.
* Maintain up-to-date engineering documentation, records, and files.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in maintenance management and team leadership.
* Strong knowledge of statutory legislation and company safety, health, quality, and environmental standards.
* Experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and best practices.
* Ability to liaise and coordinate with various functions within the organisation.
* Competence in budget management and cost reporting systems.
* Familiarity with condition monitoring technologies and maintenance improvement tools.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills for team development and training.
