£35,000 PER ANNUM
People Solutions are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our exciting FMCG retail client based in Newbridge, Edinburgh.
This role offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing business, with the opportunity to learn and progress quickly.
Our client prides themselves being the number one retailer in their product range and boasts a huge retail presence of over 165 retail stores across the UK.
In addition to this, they have a hugely successful online retail site, which requires constant analysis to ensure that they are reaching their maximum earning potential.
The purpose of this role is to gather and analyse product data and to report on market trends and product performance across the range.

Day to Day Duties
* Gathering relevant data from various sources such as databases, APIs, or internal systems
* Analysing data to identify patterns, trends, and insights related to product development
* Monitoring the performance of existing products using key metrics and KPIs
* Conducting research on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products
Essential Skills
* Minimum of two year’s experience as a Data Analyst within a retail sector
* Advanced Excel Skills, formulas, and pivot tables
* Stakeholder management
* Power BI experience
Desirable Experience
* Experience of using data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau etc
* Experience of analysing large data sets including data warehousing and segmentation
* Experience in working with a range of complex tasks towards deadlines
Training
Training will be given ’on the job’ starting from day one.
