Learning Support Assistant
*Location: Lancaster
*Job Type: Full-time – September 2024 start
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide invaluable support to students within a Secondary SEN school environment. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in aiding students to reach their full potential through individualised and small group assistance.
Day to day of the role:
*Offer targeted individual and small group support to students with special educational needs.
*Assist teachers in the development and execution of lesson plans.
*Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
*Support student learning and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
*Work collaboratively with school staff and fellow teachers to promote student achievement.
*Help administer assessments and tests, ensuring a supportive testing environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
*The ability to connect with students from diverse ages, backgrounds, and learning abilities.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction and support.
*The capacity to work independently and as an integral part of a team.
*A passion for assisting students with special needs and a dedication to their educational success.
