Job Duties: * Provide direct care and support to children in a residential setting
* Implement care plans and support individual needs
* Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
* Engage children in activities and promote their social and emotional development
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
Required Qualifications: * NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
* Enhanced DBS check
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures
Education: Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
Experience: Prior experience in residential care for children
Knowledge and Skills: * Knowledge of child development and attachment theory
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Preferred Qualifications: * First Aid certification
* Training in de-escalation techniques
* Experience working with children with complex needs
Working Conditions: * Shift work including weekends and evenings
* Possibility of sleep-in shifts
* Working in a residential care setting with children
