Job Title: Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum
Job Description:Job Duties: * Ensure the effective day-to-day management of a children’s residential home
* Oversee and monitor the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people
* Manage and support a team of staff, providing guidance and leadership
* Develop and implement care plans in line with regulatory requirements
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
* Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to ensure the well-being of residents
Required Qualifications: * Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
* Registered with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Ofsted)
* Demonstrated experience in a similar managerial role within children’s residential care
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: * A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior role within children’s residential care
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent organisational and decision-making abilities
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations
Preferred Qualifications: * Additional training in safeguarding, risk assessment, and therapeutic approaches
* Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
Working Conditions: * Regular office hours with occasional evening and weekend work required
* Work primarily based within the children’s residential home setting
* May involve some travel for meetings, training, or networking events
