Job Description: Deputy Manager - Children’s Residential CareLocation: West Midlands, Birmingham, United Kingdom

Salary: £15.38 per hour, plus sleep-in rate

Job Duties: * Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the children’s residential care facility
* Provide support and guidance to staff in delivering high-quality care to children
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies
* Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans
* Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff
* Handle administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
Required Qualifications: * Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
* Prior supervisory experience in children’s residential care
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Experience in an EBD setting
Education: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
Experience: Prior supervisory experience in children’s residential care
Knowledge and Skills: * Knowledge of regulatory standards and policies in children’s residential care
* Ability to lead and motivate a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
* First Aid and Safeguarding training certifications
Working Conditions: * Work in a residential care setting with children
* May require evening, weekend, and on-call availability
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and emotional situations
