The Company
We are pleased to be working exclusively with a long established manufacturing business in the County Durham area in their search for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager
The Role
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will have overall responsibility for the warehouse and logistics function which includes warehouse, logistics and stock control. Managing a small team, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and be tasked with optimising existing processes and behaviours, improving efficiency and driving the warehouse and logistics function forward.
The business is going through the implementation of a new WMS system, in which you will also play a significant role, so the use of data and systems to enable production of scorecards and the management of KPI’s will be something you enjoy.
The Person
In terms of experience, we are looking for candidates with proven experience in managing an end to end warehouse function, who display the following skills and attributes:
Demonstratable knowledge of warehouse management and stock control systems and
best practice
• Established experience in end-to-end logistics operations and optimising material flow
• Experience in implementation of a new WMS system
• Strong proven team leadership and collaborative working
• Dynamic and forward thinking
• Able to inspire and motivate the team to achieve excellence
• IOSH qualification is desirable though not essential
