Job Title: PA (Education Sector)
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Contract: Temporary position, possibility to progress to a permanent role
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday finishing at 4.30pm
Salary: £20.00 to £24.00 per hour (dependant on experience)
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
* To provide and lead a comprehensive & professional PA/administrative service to the SLT, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department
* Provide cover to the Head of Administration whenever required and generally support the effective delivery of the administration requirements
* Dealing with varied internal & external enquiries in a helpful & professional manner, completing any tasks within set timeframes
* Management of meeting administration, email handling and solving day to day issues independently
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
* Prepare reports, presentations, information, and documents for internal & external meetings.
* Effective logging, filing of management data, email filtering.
* Filtering & screening of telephone calls, taking appropriate action on enquiries, complaints, and problems as they arise.
* Preparing and administering Agendas & Papers and minute taking and maintaining action point logs and follow ups.
* Proof reading and checking documents as and when required.
* Organising accurate online support materials.
* Take ownership & lead on projects or reports directed by Management.
* Support with enrolment process with open days and key events throughout the year, which may include additional hours that occur in the evening or at weekends. Work across different premises as and when required.
* Participate in professional development, undertaking training as required including being up to date with mandatory training, such as Safeguarding & Prevent. Work safely, considering the safety of others, and work within the guidelines stated in the Health & Safety policy.
* Act as Fire Assembly Point Coordinators.
PERSON SPECIFICATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience of working as a PA to a senior manager in similar senior position.
Ensure appropriate confidentiality professionalism is maintained at all times.
Confident & clear communicator possessing excellent organisational, verbal, and written skills.
Good standard of education/qualifications
Qualification CPD relevant to job role (including level 2 in English and Maths).
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office package, and experience gained of CRM systems.
Previous experience of dealing with difficult people situations.
Good ability to prioritise & organise workload in a demanding, busy environment, able to work under pressure without supervision.
