An ambitious and growing firm of accountants with offices in the Canary Wharf area of London and in Cambourne west of Cambridge,providing services to a wide range of clients, from small and medium size growth businesses and individuals to multi-national corporations. Due to continued growth the firm is seeking to recruit a Senior Tax Manager at their Cambourne offices.
At an important time in its continuing development, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to support an existing portfolio of clients, and help grow the business.
Job Description
· Pivotal role in the delivery of tax workflows for a large portfolio of client accounts, monitoring and support of commercial aspects;
· Preparation and review of tax computations and returns;
· Reviewing work prepared by team members from across office;
· Leading liaison with HMRC, including preparing letters and reviewing letters prepared team members;
· Building trusted client relationships, handling queries and problem solving;
· Keeping up to date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing throughout the office;
· Delegating work to team members, overseeing workflow and quality control;
· Working directly with the Partners in furthering the goals and ambitions of the firm, particularly in the management of the existing client base, while developing new business;
· updating records on the internal management system, including timesheets, and maintaining accurate records;
· participating in the continuous improvement of the firm’s processes and procedures;
· any other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time.
Person Specification
· The position demands a high degree of confidence, flexibility and enthusiasm from the successful individual;
· Must be CTA qualified, with PQE;
· Practice experience including coverage or both direct and indirect taxation matters an advantage;
· Must be presentable, a very clear communicator, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
