Job Description:
Venn Group are supporting a London based University with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner.
The post holder will be providing strategic financial advice to support and influence budget holders on activity. The role will also be providing insight to directorate budget holders regarding central objectives and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
* Own and manage the finance relationship with key budget holders and managers within Faculties/Directorates
* Be responsible for the production of relevant expenditure budgets and forecasts
* Interpret management reports, providing added value commentary to budget holders
* Monitor financial performance across key areas
* Analyse financial and non-financial trends by reference to previous years/ external data
* Propose necessary actions to address issues with regards to financial trends
* Analyse reports to support structural and operational review
* Ensure financial implications for new and existing contracts are understood by the key stakeholders and adhere to University policy
* Identify cost saving or income enhancement opportunities and escalate to Directorate
* Responsible for financial analysis within post investment/ project appraisal review
* Liaise with both internal and external auditors as required for projects
Person Criteria:
* Studying for accountancy qualification/ willingness to study for an agreed accountancy qualification
* Proficient in the use of accounting software and office technology including word processing, databases and spreadsheets
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels to achieve results
* Highly numerate and accurate with attention to detail
Salary: £48,251 - £57,061 per annum
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: 3 days per week working in the office/ 2 days WFH
