Daily Supply Teacher (Secondary School)
Location: South Shields
Pay Scale: £120 to £180 per day
Start: ASAP
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time
GSL education is looking for a qualified, motivated Supply Teacher who would join our secondary school community in South Shields.
Job summary: As a Daily Supply Teacher, you will take classes when regular teachers are absent. You will teach different subjects, ensuring the students’ normal progression and continuity are maintained.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise classrooms when the regular teacher is not present.
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across different subjects given by instructing staff.
* Assist students with their learning and development.
* Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school authority.
* Help with different obligations as required, including test invigilation and administrative tasks.
* Assist in maintaining a positive and productive environment within the classroom
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in Secondary school setting
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Strong classroom management abilities.
* Flexibility in teaching styles and environments
* The ability to construct positive relationships with students and staff.
* A proactive and adaptable way to deal with work.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
