Engineering Team Leader
Manufacturing FMCG Sector

Day shift role
If you are an experienced engineer with a strong background in the manufacturing sector, then this could be the ideal new role for you!
The company are a leading FMCG manufacturer and are seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop the maintenance team and take responsibility for maintenance tasks and procedures.
This role involves maintaining site electrical standards according to current legislation and working in line with our high standards for Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity, Hygiene, and housekeeping.
The successful candidate will lead, manage, and develop their teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and all downtime is kept to a minimum.
Day to Day of the role:
* Lead and manage the engineering team to achieve the best operational performance and promote total site team working.
* Drive continuous improvement, become a focal point for new ideas, and implement improved ways of working.
* Maintain accurate engineering records for complete traceability and report daily/weekly efficiencies.
* Ensure all machine downtime is utilised effectively and that maintenance schedules, including asset care, are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
* Raise corrective action requests to address any non-conformances and aim for zero rework due to engineering errors.
* Prevent avoidable plant breakdowns by reporting and repairing defects promptly.
* Maintain a tidy workplace, including the workshop, stores, and utilities areas, and ensure machines are clean and safe.
* Chair daily team meetings at shift handover and regularly review line problems with the packaging manager, providing written communication.
* Ensure that planned work is communicated, and that no production time is lost due to lack of cover.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Relevant technical qualifications
* Management experience within a manufacturing environment
* Up to date with the Latest Electrical Regulations (18th Edition)
* Experience of training and developing team members
* Computer literacy and SAP knowledge.
