Financial Controller - 3 month contract

TalentEdge are partnered with a Financial Services firm specialising in B2B lending. They provide innovative financial solutions to help businesses achieve their growth objectives having supported thousands of businesses and becoming a trusted partner in the financial landscape. They are currently looking for a Financial Controller for a 3 month contract to support the Finance Director. The Financial Controller will have a background in audit combined with industry experience in a group reporting role. 
About the role:
* Accurate production of financial reporting including the production of monthly management accounts
* Oversee and produce audit preparation including financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and more
* Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements whilst mitigating internal controls
* Manage the day-to-day accounting function including overseeing the general ledger activities
* Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial projects
About you:
* ACA/CA/CAANZ qualified with a background in Audit 
* Proven experience in a financial reporting role within the Financial Services/Payments sector
* Excellent understanding of accounting principles with strong knowledge of Financial Instruments
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Effective communication skills
