Pure are currently recruiting an interim Financial Accountant on behalf of a biotech organisation based in South Cambridge, this role will initially be on a 3 month contract with the potential to extend for a further 3 months. 

This position is available due to an increase in workload and to backfill tasks of the Financial Director while they take on a project, over the summer months there will also be an increase in holiday taken by the team so this role will also help to ease the workload. 

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows - 

- Prepare audited financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- VAT and corporate tax accounting for the group 
- Prepare consolidated management reports as part of the month end reporting process.
- Work with the Finance Director to prepare and issue the consolidated financial statements. 
- Assist with the Group wide audit process to co-ordinate audit activities
- Review month end files of all group entities including balance sheets, month end journals and reconciliations with the Finance Director. 

You must be a qualified Accountant with relevant audit experience, experience of preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS is essential for this role. You must also be available to start a new role at short notice.
