Job Description:
My client are a niche, leading transport and logistics provider looking for an experienced International Transport Planner to join their busy team!
Daily duties will include:
* Planning international and domestic FTL and LTL in an express freight environment
* Allocating fleet arranging collection and delivery across an allocated area considering driver hours, unit compatibility with customer requirements, driver qualifications and most efficient unit mileage
* POD management
* Responding to customer quote requests in a timely manner
* Updating customers with collection / delivery ETA’s
Requirements:
* Previous experience planning HGV is an advantage
* Working knowledge of tachograph regulations
* Basic understanding of customs protocols is an advantage
* Previous experience dealing with temperature controlled or pharmaceutical goods is an advantage
Working hours:
* Working hours are Monday - Friday and Tuesday - Saturday shift patterns on a 42.5 hour week. The office is operational between the hours of 0600am - 2000pm.
