THE ROLE
* The role will provide support to the FM with business accounting activities.
* Month end book-keeping and journal entry
* Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting workings including commentary and variances to budget and forecast
* Assisting with cashflow reporting
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll reports
* Assisting with the preparation of royalty statements and management of IP sales revenue
* Assisting with management of overheads versus budget to enable cost savings
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
* Reminding customers about upcoming/overdue payments
* Developing and implementing tactics for collecting late payments, including follow-up calls and emails.
* Liaising with third party providers, customers, and suppliers (where required)
* Dealing with HMRC (where required)
* Dealing with ad hoc queries made by staff or external providers
* Review and improve accounting procedures and processes to ensure efficient
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Part-qualified or working towards a qualification
* Experienced in management accounting
* Strong analytical skills and able to decipher finance data as well as trends effectively.
* Experience in management accounting and preparing payroll reports
* Experience in a fast-moving environment
* Experience of an accounting software package
* Experience with Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
