Job Description:
Are you a dynamic sales leader with a passion for driving growth and exceeding targets? Our client, a market leader in specialised solutions for Secure Environments and Commercial markets, is seeking a motivated General Sales Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to manage all external and internal sales functions (excluding exports), supported by a team of seven.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Management: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets at budgeted margins. Manage the sales funnel and ensure financial success through accurate reporting and forecasting.
* Customer Engagement: Maximise product specification and sales. Provide excellent sales and technical support to both existing and new customers to meet annual sales goals.
* Team Leadership: Lead and manage your team to maximise sales, utilising other resources as required.
* Direct Customer Interaction: Manage sales, technical, tender, and specification-related issues directly with customers to maximise opportunities.
* Process Improvement: Review and implement improvements to business processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
* Opportunity Management: Track, follow up, forecast, and close opportunities identified by your team.
* Proposal Preparation: Produce comprehensive and compliant proposals by understanding ITTs and relevant market standards.
* Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with constructors, architects, specifiers, engineers, and end clients.
* Event Participation: Organise and attend exhibitions and events as agreed with senior management.
* Reporting: Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in sales management within relevant markets
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent customer service and technical support capabilities
* Ability to handle multiple sales streams and projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in CRM systems and sales pipeline management
* Strong understanding of market and industry standards
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
