Floating Support Worker vacancy
A highly respected client is looking to recruit a Floating Support Worker to work in Cambridge that supports clients aged over 50, based in Cambridge
Length: 3 months temporary ongoing
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 37 hours a week Monday to Friday
Shifts: 9:00pm – 5:00am
The role involves:
• Support clients over 50 to maintain their tenancies or move into appropriate accommodation, with a emphasis of living independently
• Write accurate support plans and risk assessments making sure these are followed and updated regularly
• Ensure clients are budgeting and money handling, enhancing their finances where applicable
• Assist clients to ensure their properties are properly maintained and all health and safety measures are met
• Help clients to report and follow up any repairs, either to the appropriate agency or landlord
• Directly liaise with landlords helping clients to negotiate any tenancy related issues that arise
• Assisting clients with shopping and appointments where and where required
• Record and update all records making sure they are up to date and have accurate information on the clients
• Adhere to all of the organisations policies and procedures at all times
Essential requirements:
• Experience with supporting vulnerable people to become more independent
• Due to the role you must drive and have access to your own car
• An enhanced DBS from within 2 years or willingness to obtain a new one
