Job Description:
Locum Occupational Therapist Band 6
Location: East Midlands
Start Date: ASAP, for 12 weeks (about 3 months) initially
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
* Flexible working patterns considered, including 3 x long days
* Weekend working supported if preferred
* Must have availability for 1:4 weeks working until 8pm (12-8 if 7.5-hour days)
Regarding Client:
Our client’s Occupational Therapy (OT) services are integral to patient care across various specialties. OT practitioners work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient independence and quality of life. Specialties covered are Acute care, Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Neurology, Geriatrics, and Mental health. The role of Occupational Therapists includes providing assessments and interventions to promote patients’ ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and achieve therapeutic goals. Collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
Skills Required:
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
* Minimum 2 years post qualifying experience
* Experience in NHS or acute medical settings preferred
