Job Description:
A dynamic and well-established construction consultancy is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their team in Lancashire. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects while playing a key part in ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.
The CDM Principal Designer’s Role
The successful CDM Principal Designer will join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality services across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The CDM Principal Designer will be responsible for managing design risk and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the coordination of pre-construction information and the preparation of F10 notifications.
* Conduct design reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to promote health and safety best practices.
* Attend project and design team meetings to provide CDM guidance and support.
* Review and approve construction phase plans (CPPs) and health and safety files.
The ideal CDM Principal Designer will have
* Proven experience in delivering Principal Designer services under CDM 2015 regulations.
* A strong background in construction, design, or architecture.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Membership with a professional body such as IOSH or APS.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive and positive attitude towards health and safety management.
