The Fire Engineer Role
As a Fire Engineer, you will play a key role in the production of fire strategies for various building types across multiple sectors. Key responsibilities include:
* Producing comprehensive fire strategies for diverse building types
* Developing fire statements in accordance with London Plan Policy and Gateway One
* Negotiating with approval authorities on fire safety designs and proposals
* Conducting peer reviews of fire engineering calculations, including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis
* Fully understanding and applying UK fire safety legislation
Requirements
* Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the Fire Engineering field
* Broad experience across various projects
* Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers
* BEng or CEng in Fire Engineering, or relevant experience
* Proven experience in a client-engaging environment
* Familiarity with EWS-1 and PAS 9980 standards
