This role is for an Electrochemist and would suit someone who has recently completed their PhD and is looking for their first role in industry!
The Role:
* Support development of the electrochemical testing programme
* Develop current technology for various commercial applications and products
* Research and evaluate the performance improvements in energy storage cells to achieve the potential of the technology
* Ensure resources are adequate and available on a day-to-day basis, setting objectives, scheduling work and ensuring successful outcomes
* Liaise with external contacts (e.g suppliers etc)
What do you need to apply?
* PhD in Electrochemistry or similar
* At least 3 publications in the Q1 ranking journals
* Strong practical knowledge of electrochemical cells (e.g. battery, supercapacitor, fuel cells, electrolysis) design, component interactions and testing
* Robust theoretical knowledge in electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques & principles
* Experience in utilising complimentary characterisation techniques
* Test experience, with experience troubleshooting, diagnosing failures & applying solutions
* Data analysis & interpretation skills
* Presentation skills
