About the role... Poundland is looking for a diligent and organised Booking Clerk to join our team in Walsall. This hybrid role offers the perfect balance of remote and on-site work. You will support the Network Capacity Planning Manager in managing inbound and outbound volumes as per the Distribution Flow Plan.

Your Impact and Responsibilities… As a Booking Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods into and out of our distribution centres. Your responsibilities will include:
* Processing UK and European palletised inbound volumes to meet targets set in the Distribution Flow Plan across multiple sites.
* Achieving a balanced flow of non-import inbound volumes to ensure smooth distribution centre (DC) operations.
* Supporting the creation and upkeep of Supplier Performance metric reports.
* Coordinating the collation of delivery issue information to identify and address inbound failures and share insights for preventive measures.
* Assisting the Stock Health team with Inter Depot Transfer (IDT) Requests and maintaining related metric reports.
* Managing product location source DC indicators to ensure correct product flow.
* Systemically raising Book Transfers and Manual Requisitions between Virtual and Physical DCs.
* Sharing intelligence with Central Logistics on Backhaul Programme opportunities.
* Providing cover for the Bookings Team Leader during periods of absence.
Skills and Knowledge… To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Organisational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with the supply base.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate level) and experience with Oracle and Dispatcher systems.
* Problem-solving skills: Keen attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience * Proven experience in a similar role within supply chain or logistics.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Good working knowledge of Excel, Oracle, and Dispatcher.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
