Description:
Ideally, you will have experience working within Paediatrics in an acute hospital setting; Outpatients, Children’s Emergency, or Urgent Care. Most of all, you will have a passion for delivering excellent patient care across a diverse base of specialties as part of a small, welcoming, and flexible team.
Responsibilities:
Main duties of this role include: providing high-quality nursing care and supporting team members to maintain best practices for all patients and visitors while following hospital and departmental policies. Ensuring the safety of self, colleagues, patients, and visitors in the Emergency Department.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Registered nurse for children
* Computer literate
* Experience in assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care
* Ability to work with and mentor junior staff
* Awareness of professional responsibilities
* Understanding of normal child development
Desirable:
* IV administration course
* Experience undertaking a small research project
* Understanding of the effects of hospital admission on a child and their family
Skills

* Sound written, numeric, and verbal skills
