Chief Financial Officer | PE backed digital services | up to £130,000 + car + equity + bonus | Cheshire

Our retained client is a private equity backed, digitally-enabled services business based in Cheshire looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer. The business has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years facilitated by both organic and acquisitive expansion. With a strong financial position, the business is highly profitable and holds excellent potential for the future.

Following its success and planning for an exit event in c. 2 years, the Board now seeks a commercially astute CFO to build and drive the financial and commercial functions within the business. Partnering with the CEO, you will form part of the Senior Leadership Team and will be heavily involved in further decision making within the business to ensure continued profitable growth and increase in shareholder value.

The incoming CFO must be able to add value to the strategic direction of the business, whilst also adopting a hands-on approach with regard to the financial detail of the company and leadership of the finance function.

Leading the small yet experienced team you will be responsible for: 
* Ensuring the business has a commercially integrated, robust finance function capable of delivering incisive and responsive reporting, supporting the business as it grows
* Preparation and presentation of all aspects of financial reporting required to both the business and the Board
* Monthly reporting of full management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and rolling forecasts
* Cashflow monitoring and forecasting
* Alongside the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, play an integral part in driving strategy, business development and future plans to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position
* Regularly evaluate operating procedures to create/adapt best practices to ensure uniform performance throughout the organisation
* Build strong working relationships with external stakeholders and be a main point of contact for the banks, auditors and other relevant advisors
* Maintain focus on maximisation of shareholder value


Applicants must have an excellent track record of developing and growing with a business, providing top quality MI, a strategic and highly commercial skill set and the ability to drive positive change and growth.  Any prior experience of leading a business through an exit / contributing to an exit is helpful but not essential.
