Axon Moore are partnering with a longstanding organisation in Preston to recruit an ambitious, Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an industry leading business, working as part of a superb collaborative team reporting to a highly knowledgeable Finance Director and leading a small, established team.  

Our client is open to candidates from industry or first time movers who have had exposure to audit or accounts prep for manufacturing clients.

Candidates must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, looking to take a progressive step and able to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities include:
* Monthly management information reports and management of month end procedures
* Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities
* Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
* Management of Quarterly stocktake procedures
* Payroll preparation and reporting
* Management of Annual Statutory Audit
* Margin analysis
* Manage the monthly closing of the General Ledger ensuring the financial data accuracy
* Assist in the yearly budget preparation
* Review of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation
* Management of a small finance team
* Ad hoc project work around continuous improvements
